Picking Your Senior Photographer | Melissa Braden Photography

Picking the right senior portrait photographer for your senior pictures is so important. This is a significant time in your life, and you want it captured in a way that represents who you are. You want to make sure that your photographer is a professional so that you will treasure your images for years to come. Here are a few things to look for when choosing your photographer.

#1: Style

Ask your self, “Do I like their style? Does it scream me? Can I see myself in one of their images?” If you answer is YES, check out their About page and learn more about the photographer. This is a great way to see if your personalities match. The more you match, the more comfortable you are with your photographer and the better your images will be. Then contact the photographer and set up a time to meet them and explore them more.

#2: Experience

Does the photographer have the experience needed to produce high quality images. Experience and education typically cost more. Are you willing to pay for it?

#3: Products

Does the photographer offer the products that you and your family will want? Not sure what products you want? Here are the most commonly bought: wall prints, canvas prints, metal prints, a custom book, or  digital images. Do you want an online gallery or printed proofs?  Are you interested in a product that will allow you to trade memories with your friends?  Asking yourself these questions before you meet with your photographer will help establish expectations early on.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any questions feel free to contact me-I would love to meet you!
